Syncing Products & Managing Inventory
Keep your dropshipping products up to date with supplier prices and availability.
Syncing Products & Managing Inventory
Supplier prices and stock levels can change at any time. Keeping your products in sync ensures you never sell an out-of-stock item or lose margin on a price increase.
How Product Syncing Works
The sync feature connects to your supplier's API and updates your imported products with the latest data:
- Supplier Price Updates — The supplier cost field on your product is updated to reflect the current price. This doesn't change your selling price — only the cost reference.
- Availability Status — If a product is no longer available from the supplier, the stock will be set to 0, preventing new orders.
- Last Synced Timestamp — Each product shows when it was last synced so you know how current the data is.
Running a Manual Sync
- Go to the Dropshipping Hub.
- Click "Sync" next to the supplier name.
- The system will update all your imported products from that supplier.
- You'll see a summary of how many products were updated.
Automatic Sync
Premium and Enterprise plan subscribers benefit from automatic syncing. The system periodically checks supplier data and updates your products in the background, so your listings are always accurate.
What to Do When a Supplier Price Changes
- If the supplier price increases, consider raising your selling price to maintain your profit margin.
- If the supplier price decreases, you can keep your price for higher margins or lower it to be more competitive.
- If a product becomes unavailable, consider removing it from your store or finding an alternative supplier.
