Fulfilling Dropshipping Orders
Step-by-step guide to processing customer orders through your dropshipping supplier.
Fulfilling Dropshipping Orders
When a customer buys a dropshipping product from your store, you need to order it from the supplier and ship it to the customer. This guide covers the complete fulfillment process.
Step 1: Receive the Order
You'll receive an email notification when a new order is placed. Dropshipping orders are highlighted with an amber badge in your Orders panel, making them easy to identify. The order details include:
- Customer's full shipping address.
- Supplier name and direct link to the product page.
- Supplier cost price for your reference.
- The variant selected by the customer (if applicable).
Step 2: Order from the Supplier
- Click the "Open Supplier Page" link on the order detail page.
- Add the product to your cart on the supplier's website (AliExpress or CJ).
- At the supplier checkout, enter the customer's shipping address — not yours.
- Pay using your own payment method (credit card, AliExpress wallet, or CJ wallet).
- Complete the purchase and save the supplier order confirmation.
Step 3: Add Tracking & Update Status
Once the supplier ships the order (usually within 1–5 business days), you'll receive a tracking number. Then:
- Go to the order in your Vendor Dashboard.
- Enter the tracking number and select the shipping carrier.
- Mark the order as "Shipped".
- The customer receives an automatic email notification with tracking details.
Step 4: Order Delivered
Once the tracking shows the package has been delivered, mark the order as "Delivered". Your earnings from the sale will be recorded and become available for payout after the standard holding period.
